Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Quality Control Inspector to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting components, subassemblies, and final products to ensure they meet internal and customer specifications. You will play a critical role in maintaining our reputation for performance and precision by supporting a culture of quality across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of parts, assemblies, and finished products
- Use precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM) to verify dimensions and tolerances
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to assess product conformance
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
- Identify nonconformities and collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve issues
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by contributing feedback and participating in root cause analysis
- Assist with calibration and maintenance of inspection tools and equipment
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards, company policies, and safety procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certificate or associate degree preferred
- 2+ years of experience in a quality assurance or mechanical inspection role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading
- Proficient with precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems
- Basic computer skills and experience with inspection reporting systems
- Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team
